Click: Prelude Classical Music Awards 2008 Prelude Classical Music Awards 2008 For the seventh consecutive year a professional jury (affiliated with Prelude) grants the 'Prelude Classical Music Award' to classical CD productions of striking quality. In judging the nominated CD productions, the jury (with Prelude owner Kees Koudstaal as the only member as well as chairman) has to comply with a number of stringent regulations. A number of quotes from the handbook 'Jury instructions Prelude Classical Awards': - 'Considerations as to quality are of overriding importance.' - 'Cross-over repertoire is excluded.' - 'Sales figures are not to be taken into account.' - 'Recommendations of CD producers and/or distributors do not play any role.' - 'The jury must not take any irrelevant auras of musicians into consideration.' - 'Membership of CD producers and/or distributors of whatever branche organization is not to have any influence.'
